Wendi S. Rogaliner
Wendi Rogaliner, the firm founder, has spent her entire legal career representing health care providers. Wendi spent her early years at a large Dallas law firm, Strasburger & Price, LLP, litigating medical malpractice claims in defense of local hospitals and physicians. While there, she gained valuable experience and developed a passion for providing legal services to health care providers. She tried several cases to verdict, and had the honor of being the first recipient of the Henry Strasburger Outstanding Litigation Associate award.
In 2001, Wendi was recruited to join the in-house legal team for Plano-based Triad Hospitals, Inc. During her tenure at Triad, Wendi had responsibility for the day to day legal operations of 14 hospitals across the nation, and developed strong relationships with the local administrative teams in each market. Having served a large hospital company from an in-house position, Wendi gained valuable expertise regarding hospital operations and the effect of the myriad of healthcare regulatory requirements on day to day management of a hospital’s legal affairs.
With in-house experience, Wendi made the transition back to private practice in 2003 with her clients’ needs in mind. She made the decision early on that in-house experience made for excellent outside counsel, and when the time came to expand the firm, she remained steadfast in her demand that all Rogaliner Law Offices, P.C. attorneys have in-house operational or legal healthcare experience.
Wendi’s special interest and expertise lies in general operational and fraud and abuse issues for hospitals, including Stark, Anti-kickback, HIPAA, EMTALA, peer review, general contract negotiations and beneficiary inducement prohibitions.
